Heavy Equipment Technician

 

Atlantic Powertrain & Equipment Inc. has an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Technician. 

Atlantic Powertrain and Equipment Inc. has been supplying Newfoundland and Labrador’s construction industry with products from Yanmar Compact Equipment and Link-Belt Excavators since 2004 from our facility based at 30 Glencoe Drive in Mount Pearl.

Proven and trusted for 20 years, we supply equipment & products province-wide and we are growing..

From construction and agricultural equipment to heavy-haul tag trailers & floats and attachments for all makes, we are your one safe source for the equipment needed to get the job done.

WHAT WE NEED IN AN EMPLOYEE:

  • Journeyperson’s Certification.

  • Check loaders, excavatord, and attachments for proper performance and inspect for faults and malfunctions.

  • Use computer diagnostic and other testing equipment to diagnose faults or malfunctions.

  • Adjust equipment and repair/replace worn parts using hand and power tools. 

  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure that it meets manufacturer specifications.

  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance on equipment.

  • Must be able to work remotely at times.
